The Centre of Dialysis Jayor was founded in February 2000, with a clear and precise objective; the treatment and application of Dialysis to particulars and dependant renal patients of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS).


The Centre of Dialysis Jayor, with the vision of being The model-operated Unit around the country, counts with highly qualified personnel, and with the supportive structure, equipment and technology necessary to conform a team that is equal to none, destined to give this type of service.

With an installation capacity of accommodation for 120 patients, the Centre of Dialysis Jayor is the first of 10 units on a national level.

The Centre of Dialysis Jayor, has as mission, to offer an optimum and efficient service in a professional surroundings which permit it to differentiate itself as a model unit of dialysis.

The main function of the Jayor Dialysis Centre is the administrating of dialysis treatment to the patients who present terminal, chronic, renal deficiency. That means, patients, whose kidneys that have lost their function to such extent that life is impossible without such treatment.

Among the habitual functions of a healthy kidney are: The cleaning of the organic toxins and waste products deriving from normal corporal metabolism; the cleaning of toxins proceeding from aliments, maintaining the equilibrium of the corporal substances such as the products deriving from nitrogen, urea, balance of corporal liquids and along etc. When the kidneys are not functioning, the maintenance of the balance of all these substances alters, putting in danger the life of the patient.

This alteration can be caused by many diseases, among which the diabetes mellitus is found, because of its frequency. The arterial hypertension, the renal lithiasis, inflammatory and infections diseases of the kidneys, (glomerulonephritis, nephritis tubules inthersticials).
